Andrew Kelton was a key piece in my familys successful relocation from Minnesota to Texas in the summer of 2018, in the midst of the last minute rush to buy homes before school started here in Texas. Let me just say this early, because it will resonate throughout the review: Andrew became a friend and a trusted advocate through the process. He truly became an extension of me and my interests.Our journey began with an offer to relocate from company, and I looked at homes online, I reached out to a few realtors. Having had success in Minnesota with realtors, I was looking for someone who didnt just make me feel like I was their most important client, but someone whose actions spoke. Not that I was #1 (I understand that realtors have multiple clients) but that my needs and wants were greater than HIS. That what my family needed in a home was more important than his need for a double commission. Andrew was not the first realtor that I reached out to in Texas, but he was definitely the last. At the time that I first spoke with Andrew, I had expressed some interest in a home that was one of his listings, but as we spoke, he realized that it really didnt meet our needs, and then transitioned us into a home search more tailored for us and our needs and desires. From my home in Minnesota, Andrew and I exchanged many phone calls and emails with regards to our NEEDS and our WANTS, and to distinguish between the 2. Andrew was extremely helpful when asking about school districts, commute times, neighborhoods and so on. Our email, text and phone correspondence occurred over the course of about 2 weeks until the day that my wife and I flew down to Texas to look at homes. Andrew had lined up 22 homes to look at on the first day, AND WE SAW EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. His logistical planning enabled us to spend time in each and every home. Of course, there were a few that we walked in and walked right back out of, but I felt like I was able to see all of them. He rode with us as we drove from house to house, which enabled my wife, Andrew and myself to talk through what we had seen (positives and negatives). Through this process Andrew recalled seeing some additional houses (that he had gone to see for us before we arrived)and asked to add a few to our list, if we were willing to discard with a couple that my wife and I werent in love with. As it turns out aEUR" one of the homes that was added ended up being the house we bought.I want to repeat that for emphasis aEUR" when we went out that morning to look at homes, the house that we ended up buying was not on the list of homes to see. It wasnt until we actually had feet on the ground and we were talking through the things that we liked and didnt like that Andrew decided we needed to see this house. It was because he actually LISTENED to us, he heard the exchanges between my wife and I, made note of our desires and then went through his mental rolodex to find a house that met these qualifications. I could go on and on about the stressful bidding process and the offers, but suffice it to sayaEUR|that when I am looking for another house, Andrew will be my realtor. In my line of work, we talk about making an impact in others lives, taking painful or scary situations and alleviating or minimizing the pain. This is what Andrew provided for us. A terribly stressful situation, relocating across the countryaEUR|and he did the legwork for us. We found a house in one dayaEUR|when everyone else was looking for months.I will end with this Andrew Kelton was one of multiple realtors that we spoke with when the process started aEUR" I shudder to think what would have happened had we used a different realtor. I dont think that our relocation would have happened. The Lords hand was present in every step of my familys move to Texas, and I believe that Andrew was an instrument used to make our move less painful than it would have been otherwise.
