We moved to Alabama from Colorado. My husband came in early July and I did not join him until September. I did come with my husband in early July and we spent a week driving around looking at houses for sale, trying to find neighborhoods we might be interested in etc. We pulled up in front on one house that we liked and called the agent on the for sale sign. This agent was Karl Heckman. He answered the phone immediately and responded to our questions regarding the house we were sitting in front of. He understood that we were just looking around by ourselves and asked if we were working with an agent. I told him that we were not and he offered to be our agent and help us to find a new home. We accepted his offer and began working with Karl.....long distance. Karl called me in Colorado every week to see how things were going with the sale of our house and move. He also reviewed with me they type of house and neighborhood we were looking for and signed me up for his service that provided multiple listings every day for me to look at. I evaluated many homes as part of his service and I would let him or my husband know of houses I thought would meet our needs and Karl would meet my husband at those homes and tour them. During this 4 month process he was patient and 100% on top of finding the right home for us. Karl was also instrumental in referring us to a mortgage company that was with us the whole way and was very responsive to us when we found a home or two we were very interested in making an offer on.In late September we found the perfect home that met our needs perfectly, negotiated an offer on the home and closed within 30 days.If you are looking for an agent who cares about you and your situation you can do no better than Karl Heckman!
