This Review is after living in our home 90 days after purchase :) I became interested in the Northern Neck area while traveling for work. I had driven through the area with only two days to look at developments and was interested in properties that were close to the water. Upon returning back to my home, over eight hours away...I knew that I wanted to purchase a home there this year to enjoy the summer and have it paid off for retirement. I hadn't previously made Realtor contacts in the area...but narrowed it down to 5-8 homes to look at in The Stratford harbour community. I only had the weekend while I was off... as I was traveling nationally weekly and was looking to not only make plans to come down 3 days later ...but really to come down and Make an OFFER. This was in Early Spring. After dealing with an Agent who I called off Zillow who told me " They didn't work weekends and wouldn't be back into the area for a week" I looked at Zillow reviews. And chose Jon Snow. Jon answered me on a Saturday night at 10 pm. He then follow up the next day on a Sunday and told me what homes we could get into on a Monday before we made the long drive down. We came down Monday.He took the time and showed us homes and had planned and knew the specs of each of each of the homes and even had planned out which listing agents he had a strong relationship with. ( This is rare now in realtors of the new Millennium. Watch out for that) . We made it there that day, and on the third home, found THE ONE. Naturally, because it was amazing and had a recent reduction in price ( literally that weekend) we put our offer in while we waited at the restaurant in town. We found out that the listing agent had another offer in that day that was below ours and well below asking. Jon coached me through this with experience. The reason that I give Jon Snow a "5 Star Rating" Is that I managed to not only win that bidding war ( that ended that day) But he also made sure that the day I got my keys at closing...that I had the best Title company locally...and he even still stopped by after the close of our home to make sure that we were in and everything was as we had thought. This level of service in real estate is not to be taken for granted anymore. Especially when looking out of your network or local area. We also Sincerely LOVE the home because Jon educated us about the area. The community is amazing and we got a Great Deal. He said we had found the "hidden gem on the Potomac" and he was right. Also, the agent down here who told me in the beginning that they don't work weekends..contacted me this month after I have been here on my boat on the water all summer to ask " If I was still looking to buy a home here" I responded that I was already living in the home that I purchased 3 months ago. Having fun with our Neighbors" With Jon...There was no bad sales pitches...just fast responses, the truth...and execution to our dreams. Thank you Jon.
