TLDR: Willis and Winnie are a dream team. Full end-to-end service with deep knowledge of the market, negotiation tactics, and home renovation. Let them guide you in your home buying journey. You won?t regret it.?My partner and I were first time home buyers in an extremely competitive market (San Jose, Redwood City, and San Mateo). We didn?t know where to start and seemingly had hundreds of decisions to make with a breadth of financial and home-living factors to consider. All of which would?ve been overwhelming if it weren?t for Winnie and Willis. With them, we always felt informed and prepared. There were never any surprises.We asked every conceivable question. Questions about process and paperwork, offer strategy, market trends, home decor and renovations ? and they always responded with thoughtful and layered answers. We always got context, and the pros and cons of every option. Willis and Winnie are thorough, and they remained patient and understanding even when I was being annoying lol.Winnie brought us home, holding our hand through contract, escrow, and closing. Her eye for design perfectly complements Willis?s experience with development/contractors. Their collective knowledge of home renovations are just as valuable as their insights as agents. It was incredibly helpful to know which of our renovation ideas were possible, with a breakdown of how much each would cost, so we could factor that into our finances. After closing, they even program managed our renovations, lining up contractors (which can be a nightmare) so there was no delay in our move-in date. True end-to-end service.They took our calls and text at odd hours, on weekends, even on their vacations. I can?t count the number of times my partner and I called them freaking out about something. Only for them to calmly talk us off the ledge and reassure us. Those impromptu therapy sessions were exactly what we needed.That?s just the type of people they are. They understand how important buying a home is and empathize with their clients. It?s genuine care. They don?t just want their client to buy a house; they want you to be happy. There?s a difference. And that type of empathy and attention to detail stands out. I can?t imagine surviving this process without them, and am forever grateful for their hard work.

My husband and I had the absolute BEST experience purchasing our very first home with Willis! His industry knowledge, expertise, negotiation skills and responsiveness/ communication style made the entire process as seamless as possible. We are so grateful for all of his time, hard work, patience (with our million questions!) and support as we navigated this process for the first time, in this INSANELY competitive Bay Area housing market.There were moments where we felt hopeless, but he never let us lose sight of our ultimate goal. We got lucky when we got in touch with the Equity West team through Zillow. It was such a great pleasure working with Willis & Winnie. They helped us buy our very first home. From encouraging us to submit our first offer to helping us navigate the process of closure post offer acceptance, Willis was constantly by our side. We were complete newbies to the home buying process but Willis helped us navigate it smoothly by explaining everything to us and patiently answering our questions (and we had a lot of questions!). But he was always approachable. He would even answer our texts/calls at midnight if need be. We were personally impressed by his work ethic, honesty and integrity - he would never push us to offer more than the fair price for the house even in the crazy market that it is right now. Their background in construction and experience with the Bay Area housing market was very insightful. Even after we got the keys, Willis has been checking in with us periodically to see how things are going, putting us in touch with contractors and as always answering our questions. According to them, their job is not done until we settle down in our new home! Willis and Winnie make a fantastic team. We would strongly recommend contacting them for all your real estate needs!

As far as buyers agents go, I cannot more highly recommend Winnie and Willis. The moment I knew that they were different was when they talked me and my fiance out of buying the first property that we saw with them. This probably could have been a quick and healthy commission for them, but because they are such genuinely kind and good people who looked out for our best interests, they helped us realize that the house was not a good fit for a couple hoping to grow a family. They then stuck it out with us for 4 more months until we finally found our first home--the one that checked more boxes than anything else we saw. During those 4 months, they went above and beyond to answer all of our questions, seeing several homes with us weekend after weekend. To top if off, they have the unique expertise (general contractor) and interpersonal skills to make you feel like youre house-hunting with a very qualified family member/Chip & Jo, which made it all very enjoyable and approachable.All in all, they are a rare duo who are incredibly kind, genuine, personable, experienced and knowledgeable. If youre in need of agents who you feel like you can actually trust, Id give you an unqualified recommendation for Winnie and Willis.
