Having just closed on our house with John, we cannot recommend him highly enough. My wife and had very little homebuying knowledge when we started our search, and were immediately impressed by how patient, knowledgable, and personable he was. His experience showed immediately, and right awaye his careful explanations made the entire process less daunting. At every stage - seeing houses, making an offer, and closing - he kept in close contact with us and directed us to an incredible network of talented lawyers, contractors, and mortgage agents who were able to keep things running smoothly. He was unflappable even in the face of unusual circumstances with our home, and was great at outlining our options and next steps when we were feeling lost or overwhelmed. Above all, it was clear that he listened to us and had our best interests in mind - the house we ended up buying wasnt even on our radar, but he showed it to us because he knew our tastes and had a sense of what we might want. I write this review with a deep sense of gratitude. Speaking for my spouse, my grown children, my sister and myself, I am hard-pressed to find words to adequately praise John Dean and everything he did for us as our realtor. This was the first experience selling a property for me and my immediate family. None of us knew how complicated selling a Boston condo could, and did get. Having such an ally and fighter in our corner as John Dean made us feel confident throughout the whole process, and our lives much calmer. He discovered some hidden problems lurking in the master deed of our HOA which would have come back to legally haunt us, and then he resolved them for us! Engel & VA?lkers is lucky to have such an agent in their stable, and any buyer or seller of real estate would be lucky to have him on their side.
