So... The stock market is going higher, you just got your bonus number and have been sitting on a wad of cash trying to figure out how to deploy it.. no real yield anywhere so perhaps maybe buy something before the Fed tightens and mortgage rates move thru 5 again.... City? suburbs?... nah... Hamptons? in the summer? interesting.. Summer rentals are at an all time high with Sandy wiping out inventory in NJ and western LI.. Tough to write that check with alot of zeros for thirty/sixty days but is there value? I guess that is really the key.. Asset correlation is basically at 1 and everything is moving up.. so where is there value? if Montauk, Amagansett and the Hamptons are a thought, please call Susan.. My wife and I have known her for over 10 years and we've bought multiple properties with her involved in the process... If you need pompous euro-trash showing you around the east end, they're a dime a dozen, good luck. If you want to learn the sales history of area, learn the comps, the thought process of recent buyers and sellers.. upcoming potential tightening of local regulations, zoning, new construction, etc... Call Susan.. I really was hoping to hold off on putting in a pool but I got a whiff of potential changes in setback regulations that would have killed that dream for eternity...... that is value add... Actually.. don't call Susan.. wait until May for the dude in EH with the accent and the slickback hair to return from his winter in Zurich.
