Donna represented me when I wanted to buy our house on Valle Vista. She was not the listing agent. I have never encountered a better agent. The people we purchased the house from were a bunch of deadbeats. On the day escrow closed, the previous owners were still tooling around the house with all their garbage that they called furniture (the house was a fixer upper). Basically, they were not ready to move out. While I was having an aneurism and trying to figure out where my wife and I would spend the night,Donna called a local hotel/motel and reserved a room for my wife and I. She also paid for it. Nobody asked her to do this. Like I said, she went out of her way. But wait, the next day, these deadbeats didn't take any of their garbage. They left a tremendous amount of furniture and junk behind. Donna called in a cleaner to get rid of all the junk and haul it away. She also had the house cleaned from what I remember. There wasn't much the cleaner could do with the house because the house was a fixer upper, but I knew this going in. But my point is, she paid for the hauling away and cleaning as well. All these expenses came out of her pocket. Escrow had already closed and she didn't have any obligation to do anything else, but she did anyway. I can't imagine any other agent doing this. She is very honest. She will tell you what she really thinks of a place and try to steer you into a home that she feels is in the best neighborhood for the price you are paying. She knows the business inside and out. She even hooked us up with our property insurance agent and home inspector. She can recommend a good finance person as well although we had the financing already lined up elsewhere. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy and sell in Monrovia.
