We purchased a home in University City with Megs guidance in 2011. We were not from the St Louis area so having Meg show us the local neighborhoods and give us assistance on the right neighborhoods was invaluable. Since we were two time zones away she would always make herself available on our schedule no matter what time it was in St Louis. During the buying process she helped set up all the inspections, worked to get all the estimates and was always available to get us the answers to our questions and even did the walk through for us since we were not in the state. Her knowledge and guidance in the buying process made the experience go smoothly and she was great at making sure we knew exactly when everything was due and kept us very organized. I would highly recommend Meg if you are buying or selling your home. She is always looking out for your best interest and will make sure the process runs smoothly.

Megs reputation did not match the service we received:When we listed with Meg in October 2017, we agreed upon dates for both an open house and an agent open house within the first week on the market. While the weekend open house was successful, Meg did not show up for the agent open house that we had scheduled, and forgot to tell us that she cancelled it. We had paid to have leaves removed from our yard, our home cleaned, our dog taken to a kennel, and compromised our young childs needs to prepare for this event that Meg didnt call nor show up for. After a lengthy discussion, and being assured that she would make it up to us, we received a first offer and were under contract a week later. Meg assured us that we had an extremely qualified, perfect buyer. Fast forward three weeks and we received a call from Meg informing us that the buyer was backing out because she was overwhelmed. Meg could not provide us any other information, nor had she herself reviewed the inspection reports when informing us. Nothing in the inspection reports indicated major problems. At this point, a week before Thanksgiving, we had not only lost valuable time, but also opportunity due to Megs negligence on holding the agent open. We requested a meeting with Megs broker. While the meeting was scheduled a week later, we received another offer significantly lower than the first. Meg attempted several times to forego our scheduled meeting with her broker, stating the he was a very busy man, and that he was well aware that she had missed the agent open. We insisted on the meeting to discuss our disappointment, but were further disappointed by our interaction with her broker. He was dismissive of our grievances, specifically regarding repeated lapses in communication, and kept reminding us that Meg is a top rated agent in University City. We found Megs negotiating skills to be inadequate throughout the process, and found her to be in favor of getting the deal done, rather than advocating on our behalf. On at least two occasions, Meg cited that she was going to the movies and would draft our counter offers the following day. Meg did sell our home, with several more hiccups in the deal, including a delayed closing. Each time an issue arose, she said that it was the first time she ever encountered such a problem and that she could not have foreseen it. Meg did not show up for our closing appointment, and only informed us as such when we were arriving at the title company. She received her full commission. We have been thoroughly disappointed by the service and skills that Meg and her broker demonstrated.

Meg was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. She took the time to understand what we were looking for while giving practical input when appropriate. She was never pushy. She knew the area very well, and she was able to help us understand a whole lot of different features in prospective homes that we werent familiar with. She was always prompt in getting us in to see homes we were interested in and communicating with sellers. The house we chose ended up being perfect for us and she represented us incredibly well in the whole process of inspections, negotiations, and paperwork. It was a for sale by owner, which can be pretty different than going through a sellers agent, but she knew what she was doing and handled the process expertly. Her personality is friendly and helpful but also professional. Seriously, I couldnt have been happier with Meg and I am super happy to reccomend her.
