As a first time home buyer, Cara was absolutely fantastic to work with. She is a magnificent real estate agent who I cannot speak highly enough about. We were directed to her by a colleges referral and we were not disappointed. Our initial phone call was a low stress call about our goals for a new home. She must have taken meticulous notes because her recommendations were spot on. Her schedule was always flexible and she was almost always available when we were to view homes at the end of a long day. I never felt pressured or influenced by her, ever. She got a great idea of what was important to us and took note of what we focused on during home viewings. She then would simply direct our attention to other pertinent details both for calibrating our preferences as well as pointing out small perks or downsides. She remained our biggest advocate when talking to builders and developers and easily gained our trust. Once we picked a few final homes, she calmly walked us through ideas for time lines in terms of revisiting our favorite locations as many as 3 times, and reviewed in detail the steps of making an offer and what comes next. Her recommendation for a lender was spot on as well which I will go into more detail later. There were never any hidden surprises later, she was able to outline everything to us in a way a first time uninformed home buyer could understand and I learned so much about homes from her. The negotiation process was seamless. She helped regulate our expectations and her predicted price for what we could get the house for ended up being the offer the sellers accepted. Next up were follow ups and sticking within a strict timeline for inspections and requests for repairs. Again, Caras recommendation for a home inspector was excellent and we believe we got a quality inspector who wrote up a great report. She helped up negotiate the changes to the house with the buyers as well. Our mortgage process went smoothly and again I believe it was due to taking Caras recommendation on a lender. She and the lender worked hand in hand to get everything done behind the scenes with little additional information needed from us after initial documentation submission. The great recommendations continued with choosing a titling company, which ended up being a simple process for us that took place mostly behind the scenes. Cara kept us well informed on the behind the scenes work whenever we asked. In the end, the numbers were incredible, and the closing took place on time and went flawlessly. Cara is incredibly professional yet personable, kind to work with, patient, amicable, arduous, and a great communicator. She should write a book on how to be a real estate agent. Look no further if you are looking for a realtor in the Baltimore/greater Baltimore area.
