Jennifer was a pleasure to work with! She is polite, knowledgeable, prompt, inquisitive, caring, determined, and proactive. She helped me sell the home in Queens that was in our family for over 55 years. She knows the market very well. She did private showings, working around a very tentative tenant, who was worried her cats would escape with all the foot traffic. Jennifer won her over, too, which helped with the sales process. As a first time seller, I didn't know what to expect. Jennifer patiently explained every step of the process to me. Since I live out of state, I had to ask her to take care of several last minute "hiccups" that came up, and she did it as if it was her own home she was selling! If I had done FSBO, I would have left money on the table. I would have listed 15-20% lower, since the house needed work. Jennifer taught me that we were in a seller's market, and to be more aggressive with the asking price. HERE'S THE BEST PART: After 2 weeks of non-stop showings, the offer I accepted was 13% ABOVE ASKING PRICE! Jennifer is the best broker I have ever worked with, hands down. She isn't just great at her job, she's a great person--an attentive, punctual, perceptive, empathetic human being who will match you with the right home. I had a time crunch but Jennifer made it work. After giving her my list of must-haves, nice-to-haves, and deal-breakers, she continually found properties that fit my checklist--all in a personal, digestible plain-text email format with helpful commentary that clearly came from her. Ironically, I ended up going with the very first property she showed me--she's that good--but along the way she was incredibly supportive and a fantastic soundboard for where we could be flexible. Speaking of flexible, she was incredibly flexible throughout the process, lining up appointments back-to-back and chauffeuring me between properties in a timely manner. When it came time with negotiations, she always asked the right questions and was frank about how we could land our target number...and we still got it lower! When my scheduled movers unexpectedly fell through, she connected me to another group last-minute that did an even better job. It all seems too good to be true, but she's the real deal. Words can't express how much Jennifer goes above and beyond just being your typical agent. She cares and it shows that shes truly values her clients. Honestly, I never expected to be friends with a real estate agent, but I can confidently call her one of my best friends in the city. If I ever end up looking for another property and selling mine, you can bet I'll be in touch with Jennifer Rouse.
