Renee' sold my brother's condo recently. He had moved out of state. I stayed behind to help out. Renee' suggested a price for the condo, which I honestly thought was way too much. But the condo sold in a few days at the asking price! Renee' kept my brother and I informed of everything going on and handled all issues for us. She promptly responded to our phone calls and emails. Our 88-year-old mother selected Renee Catricala to sell her suburban Sacramento home after interviewing several agents. Our mother's health had deteriorated, and she had concluded that she needed to move from her home of nearly 40 years into an assisted-living situation. Shortly after she signed a contract with Renee, our mother was unexpectedly hospitalized, then had to move directly into assisted living. With her guidance, we did not waste money on fruitless expenditures, but did exactly what was needed to prepare the house -- no less, no more.When the house was ready for the market, the photography for the online "virtual tour" was beautifully and thoughtfully done by an expert photographer. The resulting presentation was extremely appealing. It displayed the aesthetics of the home's design as well as the advantages of its location. I took the "virtual tour" several times myself, just for the enjoyment of admiring the photography. How could anyone go through it and not want this house? I would have bought it myself if I were moving back to California.The house sold within perhaps 3 weeks of when it was put out on the market. The sales price was quite satisfactory, given current market conditions. The sale and the closing were handled very smoothly and easily, and with excellent accommodation to my mother's needs at the assisted living facility. We understand the young family who purchased the home knew they wanted to buy it as soon as they saw it; they had been searching for months for the right place. They offered cash, and it was not the only cash offer we had during the brief time the house was on the market. What we learned: You present your house properly, list it with an agent who knows how to do everything right, and it will sell -- even in this economy.Through all this, Renee Catricala was always just a phone call or email message away, and response was instantaneous.
