I have hired and worked with Kevin Grolig many times in the last 25 years. He has represented me as both the seller and the buyer with great success every time. I find Kevin to be not only highly skilled and professional, but personable and someone who connects with his clients and has their best interests at heart. He is also skilled at navigating home sales in challenging markets, having sold my homes during challenging times without a hitch!Most recently I hired Kevin to sell my Kentlands townhome. Kevin was instrumental in developing a plan to stage and prepare my home for success. He also offered his vast network of high quality vendors to assist in the process to include home-stagers, painters, haulers, handymen and others. No sooner was the home ready for market, then the DC area was shut down with Covid. It delayed my plans for about a two months. During this time Kevin was fabulous at keeping me abreast of the real estate market as well as the precautions that he and Compass were using to make it a safe environment to show my home when the time was right for me. The home was listed in May, 2020 and I was totally impressed with the safety measures used, among which included a virtual open house!Within 10 days Kevin brought an all-cash buyer who offered me incredible terms that fit within my time frame. The transaction was smooth as glass and closed on time amidst the new Covid environment. I also want to mention Kevins team members, Lidia Archer and Loraine Lamey. They too were incredible in keeping me abreast of needed information, handling all logistics, and answering my questions promptly and with thoughtfulness. I really could not recommend Kevin Grolig and his team more for anyone considering selling or purchasing a home in the DC area. We ve known Kevin for many years as a friend and former neighbor. We have always been impressed by the amount homes he has sold in the community and how quickly they sell. We knew when the time came for us to move, we would contact Kevin.. We contacted Kevin in August 2018, and let him know we would be relocating in summer of 2019. Kevin suggested we meet well ahead of time to start the process in preparing our home for the most profitable sale possible. When Kevin visited our home he gave us invaluable tips and counsel on what to do as well as what not to do when preparing our home for sale to maximize the value of our home. He also referred us to excellent contractors to perform the jobs at a very reasonable cost. Kevin also had the foresight to suggest getting the exterior items done first so that we could take advantage of Autumn foliage photos knowing we would be going on the market in the winter of 2019. We were impressed with Kevin s marketing of our home from the professional photos and videos to the print and on-line marketing materials. We received a very strong offer on our house within 3 weeks. Kevin did an incredible job ensuring we were dealing with a qualified buyer, and counseling us through the myriad of contingencies and timeframes of a contract. There were a few bumps in the road on the way to closing that no one could have predicted, but Kevin was there for us the whole way successfully navigating us to an easy, pain-free and on time closing.
