As first time home buyers, the entire process of finding and buying a house looks like Mount Everest and feels like you're climbing it alone. If that analogy holds true, Janette was one hell of a Sherpa. From our first meeting (friendly, casual, over coffee and beers) it was clear that we had a friend in this business who would represent us. We talked at length about what the process would look like, set reasonable expectations and a solid timeline. My partner and I walked away feeling like this was a mountain we *could* climb. The entire time we were house hunting (which was much shorter than I would have, thanks largely to Janette's ability to quickly hone in on the things that really mattered to us and show us nothing but places that pushed the right buttons) we had a guide pointing us in the right direction. Once we found the place, Janette and the rest of her staff at Space & Co. made the offer, inspection and closing process a snap. Cannot possibly recommend her more highly! I'm already sending all my friends her way.

On Day 1 of house hunting, Ashley handed me a goodie bag filled with important information about the home buying process. I was already impressed with her effort, and we were just meeting. I explained to her I had a few more months before I wanted to get serious about buying and I was worried she would be upset that I was wasting her time. Ashley reassured me that it was completely OK and normal to do what I was doing. We quickly found a home that I loved and before I knew it Ashley was sending me financial scenarios to help me better understand the total cost. After reviewing everything, I realized I still needed a few more months to afford the type of house I wanted. I explained this to Ashley, and she said to keep her posted if things changed and if I wanted to see other houses. A few days later, I received an urgent email from Ashley about a first-time home buyer program. Again, Ashley sent me the cost break down if I were to be approved for the mortgage and I couldn't believe the how much less the mortgage payment was going to be. I called Republic Bank and was pre-approved a few hours later. After that I called Ashley and wanted to put the offer in. She quickly got to work and called the sellers agent to see what they were looking for in an offer. Ashley recommended that we stay close to the listing price but ask for a seller assist. At that time, I had no idea what a seller assists was but I sure was happy Ashley recommended it. After a little bit of negotiations, I was under contract on a house I loved and getting 12k toward closing cost! Once we were under contract, it was pretty much smooth sailing. The home inspection showed minor problems and we were able to get most of it fixed. I had a bunch of questions and concerns about the mortgage and closing and Ashley was very knowledgeable and helpful during it all. I would absolutely recommend Ashley to anyone buying a home. She truly made the home buying process enjoyable!
