As first time home buyers - and new to the area, we wanted to make sure we found a Marin County real estate agent that was a good fit for us and was able to get us into a home we loved. We are so happy and relieved to have come across Barr Haney and his team at Own Marin. Barr has in-depth knowledge of the area and provided great insight throughout the buying process. He was very responsive and always available to answer any questions and talk through the process and strategy with us. Since inventory in our target area was relatively low, Barr encouraged us to be prepared to act quickly should a listing hit the market that fit our criteria. With Barr's help we did just that, we put an offer in on one house in our search and were able to ratify a contract before a higher offer was presented and put into back-up position. Whitney is a pro. We hired him to find a new home in Mill Valley after a frustrating 3 year search in a low inventory environment. Consequently, we also hired him to sell our existing MV home. We based the decision on his reputation locally, and his thoughtful presentation on marketing our home. The number of off market transactions that the team handles is second to none, and I dont know of another Marin realtor with more Instagram followers for digital marketing reach, particularly to SF buyers. They found our new home (off market) within weeks. We asked Whitney to do an informal showing of our existing home, to test the waters. In under a week, Whitney put together a group of 5 potential buyers to the the home privately, and 2 of them made offers. The transaction was seamless, and closed during the onset of the COVID pandemic. He was always candid and professional, and always on our side.
