We just closed on our house in the Dominican area of San Rafael this past week. Eric and his team at Compass were our listing agents. We interviewed three agents to decide who we were going to select. Two of the agents were of the same mind and suggested our house looked great and we would just need to stage a room or two and clear out some of our personal items. Eric and his team came in and said if we really want to maximize our return, we should paint, inside and out, sand and stain the floors, update the landscaping and completely stage the house and get all of our stuff out. Needless to say, we were reluctant to sink a lot of money into our property without any guarantee of recouping those funds. After much consideration, we decided to go with Eric's recommendations and had the work done. He had a team of contractors at our house the day after we signed the contract. The established a schedule for completing the work, including dates for open houses, both public and brokers. Everything was done on time per the schedule. On offer day we had three bids come in on the property, two of which were well over asking price. We recouped the money we laid out and then some.We couldn't have been more pleased with the process. Eric, Michael and Chris were great to work with. They kept us informed throughout the process and did a terrific job. If you're considering an agent, I would certainly recommend you meet with Eric and his team at Compass.

We were recommended to David and Deidre OBrien last Sept(16). Our goal was to find a house to buy for retirement,move and then sell our present house.
