Being a young couple buying our very first home in the middle of a pandemic, my husband and I were more than a little nervous about making the leap from renting to buying. We knew close to nothing about what we were doing, but Cathy still managed to make the whole process feel almost effortless. Initially, browsing for homes on our own felt like looking for a needle in a haystack. With Cathy's help, however, we found dozens of homes that met our needs, and so never felt the urge to place an offer on a home that wasn't absolutely perfect. Cathy was always mindful of our preferences -- including price, location, amenities, size, aesthetic -- and encouraged us not to settle for anything below our standards. When it came to scheduling viewings, Cathy was extremely prompt. One day we just so happened to pass by a home that was for sale, contacted her about potentially being able to see it, and within 20 minutes she was there with a key and relevant information! She was also able to accommodate us when we were unable to physically attend a viewing -- instead allowing me to join her on a video call while she toured the house herself and pointed out notable details. Cathy also had a wealth of information, not just about buying homes in general, but also in terms of a home's personal history, price estimates on repairs, suggestions for renovations, details about specific loan types, info about various locations, and even words of caution when necessary. As we began placing offers on homes, Cathy was also able to advise us from both a financial and social perspective. In fact, we now own our current house, not because we had the highest bid, but because we wrote the owners a personalized letter based on Cathy's advice. Ultimately, Cathy knew just what we needed and just when we needed it! She was always personable, diligent, and professional, never leading us astray or neglecting us over the several months in which we benefited from her services. I highly recommend Cathy to anyone looking to buy a house, and am sure my husband and I will seek her out the next time we move!
