My wife and I decided to take venture into the craziness that is the Santa Fe housing market in the hopes of upgrading to a home. From the very outset of the process, Yancy's responsiveness and involvement with us was beyond commendable. He did a wonderful job providing us with insight as to what to look for in a home, and he did it with a sense of transparency. We felt that he struck a very good balance between engaging with us but also allowing us to move at our own speed. I can honestly say that he really intertwines professionalism with personality in a way that makes a stressful time enjoyable. When the time came to act, however, Yancy skillfully guided us through all of our paperwork, next steps, etc. We both felt extremely informed and prepared but never rushed or pressured. Our purchase process required a contingency contract, and while the nature of Santa Fe's market did not promise success with such an approach, Yancy successfully navigated us through it and was able to get a prospective seller to accept our terms. We ourselves didn't expect this to happen, but I suppose we shouldn't have been surprised- a phone call, a sincere conversation, and professionalism go a long way, and Yancy utilizes those on the regular. In the end, we ended up not buying, and even so, Yancy took the time to understand our rationale and commended us on making a decision together. In a way, we kind of wish we had purchased just for Yancy's sake- he was so close to making a contingency sale and purchase work in a market where contingency contracts are likely laughable. What a feather in his cap that would have been! However, when we do circle back to the home upgrading road, Mr. Whittaker will absolutely be our realtor, and we genuinely look forward to working with him again.

I had a amazing experience with Yancy Whittaker. I live in Las Vegas, NM and could not find a realtor to show me properties, much less, return my calls. Yancy lives about an hour away in Santa Fe, called me immediately and worked with my schedule. He drove up to show me properties, and listed them in an organized packet for me to make notes..etc. He worked well with the listing agent, lending company, contractor, and appraiser to ensure all bases were covered. and to close my renovation loan on time. His follow through was on point, and I didn't need to track every little task, as he would consistently notify me off deadlines, needed signature, documents, etc.. My renovation loan was for a small purchase price; however, the service I received was outstanding. If you want a great, hardworking realtor, I recommend Yancy.
