Id recommend Barbara to anyone who wants to have an excellent experience through the property purchase or sales process and wants someone who is going to go out of their way to protect your interests. Oh, and her partner, Tim, is a remarkable woodworker and all around awesome guy; he not only helped to redo our back balcony decking, but also helped us fix a pocket door on a moments notice.If we were staying in the state, wed only go to Barbara for our next home. Barb helped us corporate relocate from out of state. We moved half way across the country into a very unfamiliar area having no idea about CT. She first helped us find a rental to get to know the area. She worked with me tirelessly over FaceTime looking at homes I couldn't view in person myself in preparation for our corporate relocation. She negotiated our rental and after 9 months she helped us purchase our new home in Newtown. So in less than a year we used Barbs services twice! Never even questioned who we wanted to help us with our purchase!Everything was new to us from gas utilities to water wells. She not only helped us find the homes we needed but took time to explain these oddities of living in CT to us. She even went further with helping us find contractors on our home purchase to gain accurate negotiation figures for purchase. She only used trusted people and places her clients safety and financial interests above her commission! Not many realtors will go out of their own pocket to get a second opinion after inspections to insure your purchase is in your best interest! She did this without us even asking because she truelly does care for her clients! Barb is very warm, has a great personality, and is fun to be around! The best type of realtor us total newbies to an unfamiliar area needed! Pam Dostilio is quite an impressive realtor! My sister and I had to quickly sell our elderly parents' condo. Since we both live out of state, several hundred miles away and with very busy lives, this made things that much more difficult. Pam helped us with EVERYTHING, from a thorough market analysis, to finding repair people, junk removers, house cleaners, movers and a great local closing attorney. We found Pam to be incredibly personable, patient, enthusiastic about her job and extremely conscientious. Calls, texts and emails were responded to immediately. If she didn't have the answer to a question, and we had many, she would quickly find an answer and reply promptly. Since we both live several hours away, Pam was always ready and available to find, coordinate and personally meet any inspectors and repairman at the condo. She did a beautiful job marketing the condo and quickly setting up a successful open house. To our delight, the condo sold within just a few days of its listing. Up through the closing date, she kept is in the loop with every important detail of the closing process. She communicated very well with our Attorney, the buyer's Attorney and the Condo Association. We were highly impressed with Pam and we cannot recommend her enough.
