This year, I both sold and bought a home using Team Shopes services. Regarding the sale: Josh helped me set the asking price, determine what really needed to be done before listing the house, and the team did a fantastic job with listing photos. Some of the initial information about property size and description in the listing and on real estate sites needed to be corrected/edited, but the team quickly took care of that. (The problem was due to incorrect info in tax records and source documents). I was not present during negotiations about price, but I can say that Josh relayed information to me promptly and that I got the amount I was asking. Since we received several offers within the first few days, and one offer went to closing, I cannot speak to how the team would have handled the sale if it there had not been interest initially. However, I can say that it was easy to discuss with Josh the pros and cons of the offers and to decide how to move forward to get the best results for both the buyer and me. I am thankful Josh encouraged me to delay activating my listing for a short while to see if a suitable home came on the market for me to buy so that I could avoid renting and moving twice.Re: Buying a house. I had been watching the market for a while and had a pretty good idea what I was looking for; Josh was respectful of this and when he showed me a property, he didnt try to convince me to change my criteria. In fact he helped summarize why a home might or might not be suitable which helped me to remain focused. When I found a place, he worked to get a prompt response to my initial offer, and to negotiate an acceptable offer so that I could get my house on the market. I wish I had listened more openly to his suggestions about closing dates, etc as I might have made the transition easier. My one wish is that Josh had pointed out things that need repair but that were not mentioned in the home inspection because some of them are $500 or more, such as replacing a shower door and bathroom faucets, etc. But in this case, I dont think that would have changed the negotiations any.Kudos to the Shope Team
