To start with I am very jaded about real estate agents after having gone through three previous home sales with horrible sales people. Needless to say we were having no luck with our agent interviews and then with one more to go Abby came in to sit and listen. Not talk to our faces about how great she was but just listen quietly and make some terrific suggestions. 10 minutes after we left my partner and I looked at each other and said OMG she is it. From that point on and through the entire sale process Abby did not disappoint. We were traveling internationally at the time and whatever issues came up Abby took care of so we did not have to deal with. Each step was fully explained and whatever documents that we were promised came in on time and done correctly.Closing was flawless, we always felt she had our back every step of the way and because she was so professional and top notch I truly believe we were able to sell the property to new buyers who were confident they were getting a great home. They were.I only wished I could have taken her to Florida with us to act as our agent for the new home.Updated review: well Florida did not work out and after five years my husband and I decided to move back to California. We reached out to Abby and said we need you to find us a house. After searching for slim pickings in Marin Abby suggested we try Santa Rosa and that is what we did. After looking through several homes in the Fountaingrove area of Sonoma we found a perfect match and with her help we closed in 30 days. Abby steered us to a fantastic financial resource to fund the loan and called out all her resources to inspect the house including separate inspections for electrical, plumbing and roofing. With so much new construction going on in this area we wanted to make sure we were getting a home with quality construction. Abby did the job of both realtors since the other one was a rookie in comparison. More agents need to be of the old school like Abby.

Abby is an absolute pro. As a first time homebuyer, I could not imagine a better experience. She gave great advice throughout the looking process, finding listings that matched our needs. She was always very candid about what she liked and didnt liked, which we found very helpful. Any questions or requests for disclosures we had were always answered in a timely manner. The offer process could not have gone smoother either. With all of her insight into the housing market, we always felt confident and comfortable with our bids. Throughout the closing process, she talked us through every step and relieved any stresses we had. Even after close, she has been helpful with trustworthy referrals and meeting with them at the house when we could not . I am a pretty anxious person by nature, yet Abby was able to make this process exciting and fun. I have full confidence in Abby and her team and feel so lucky to have worked with them!

Abby is definitely "my real estate agent"! She has sold two properties for me. One in Novato, CA and one in Napa, CA. I do not understand why anyone would use a different real estate agent then Abby Tanem?My Novato home was a townhouse that was in northern Novato. The condominiums in that neighborhood were severely under priced and Abby was not only able to get me $50,000 over asking price, but was able to meet with the appraisers to explain why this Madera Marin complex was being undervalued. Therefore, my buyers had no problem getting funding. In addition, my mothers home was in Napa. Through her efforts, we received a purchase price $11,000 over our asking price. How does she do this? Abby really works hard for her money. In both cases, Abby provided staging (which is so necessary) a professional photographer to show my homes in their best light, a website with the beautiful photos and handled the agents that were providing offers With respect and kindness. She is a delight to work with. When Abby isnt available to handle a contractor, inspector, or emergency plumbing problem personally, she relies on her assistant John Hendricks to pull it off. John is every bit as professional and kind as Abby. They make an amazing team!In my mothers Napa home that we sold upon her death, she also came to the rescue to hire service providers to remove 50 years of clutter from the home, hire painters to completely paint the inside of the home, professional cleaners to make sure that it shined! Because of the staging that she provided, my moms house stood out above all of the competition. She did all this While I was out of state. Abby (along with her amazing assistant John Hendricks) take all the stress of selling your home off your shoulders!. I can't thank her enough!Kate Slaughter, Salem, Oregon
