My wife and I were relatively new to the area and hadn't really developed relationships with many people due to being so busy with work and recently having our first child. The fact that our family was frowning we saw the need to move up to a larger place we had been renting a two bedroom town home, we had gone to a couple open houses and weren't very impressed with the listing agents, then we went to a home that Shelly was hosting. She immediately asked questions that took into account who we were, where our lives were at, what our needs were etc. We took her card and about a week later she called to follow up and we ended up having her find us a list of homes based on our parameters, she did great on that list and she ended up showing us the house that we met her at. That's when she helped us out tremendously she was very knoledgable on who to recommend for inspections, and estimates, she was very insightful in helping us get tge home we wanted. I only rated her negotiation skills a 3 because we never really crossed that bridge it was literally our offer then a counter offer and both parties were heading to the same point so we settled and got what we felt was reasonable. We intend to use her in the future as both buyers and sellers. We would recommend Shelly to anyone in the area that is a first time buyer as she takes the time to get to know you and help you through the process. She is very knowledgeable and one of the most personable agents we have met in the area!
