I have to say that I had a great experience with Tom Murtagh as my realtor. This was my first time buying a home. I was a bit skeptical with what my options even were since the price market was increasing in such a short period of time. After looking at several houses and being somewhat disappointed I was soon shown a house by Tom that had only been on the market for several hours. This was it, perfect size, updated and slightly below my loan Approval. Tom suggested that we put an offer in ASAP because it would not be on market for long. Without hesitation I agreed and he put the offer in and it was accepted. It even appraised for 25,000 over (which is what he thought it would appraise for) There were several times that I was worried and would call or text random questions and he always instantly replied back. During the closing he was there with me which I greatly appreciated, ( I still had a slight worry that something would go wrong) Tom walked me through all of the questions that I had and made this day less stressful. After getting keys he even followed up to make sure everything was still going good. Tom Murtagh went above and beyond with this purchase, I highly recommend him to anyone who is planning to buy a home.

Madelaine was an hour late for our introductory meeting. She did not apologize & acted like I was rude when I called her on it but, still, I was willing to consider her. Then she quoted me a suggested selling price based on her "vast" experience and what she said was the "best comp." Her "best comp" was a house 22 years older, 800 feet smaller - totally different! I had done a lot of research on my area and felt her suggested sale price was super low. Having been told that it's wise to interview at least 3 realtors - I did - and the other two valued my house much higher. Thank goodness that I went with one of them instead of Madelaine. My house sold in just over 60 days and even after lowering my price including through negotiations, I walked away with $95,000 more in my pocket than what Madelaine told me to sell for! Sure maybe at her low-ball price my house would have sold in a couple weeks instead of a couple months but $95,000 was well worth my wait. Be advised!
