Kathy Hmielewski is top notch! Although wed done our homework on available properties in the area we cold called Kathy from 600 miles away and briefly described what we were looking for and asked her to set appointments for an upcoming visit we were planning. After listening closely she said she thought one property might be an especially good fit and wanted us to look at it. Four months later we have purchased that property and moved to Townsend, TN. Kathy has wonderful instincts, an easy manner and a super business sense. No details got past Kathy as she managed our offers, purchase, inspections, all the paperwork etc. while we were 600 miles away and the sellers were 500 miles away!We recommend Kathy Hmielewski without reservation if you want an excellent, responsive, level headed realtor whose local knowledge and contacts cannot be matched.

We called Kathy out of the blue on a Friday evening, wanting to look at two houses that we had seen online. She arranged for us to see both of them the next morning. She walked through the houses with us, and had very good ideas on things that we could do for updates and renovations.She knows everything and everybody in and around Townsend TN. We live 7 hours from Townsend, so Kathy did 100% of the work in the negotiations and the closing. We never returned to Townsend until about a week after the closing. By that time, she had lined up a contractor, who has been unbelievably good. Ok, the contractor is her husband, so yes, it was probably easy for her to line him up. But I have to tell you, he is more than a contractor, he is an artist. His work is beautiful. Together, they make an incredible team. She knows everyone we ever need to contact about just about everything. Need pest service? She knows who to call. Need some sort of specialized cleaning service? She knows who to call.We could not be happier with our experience. We would not hesitate to do business with her again.
