Michelle Deering is exactly what you want in a realtor! Experienced, conscientious, direct, exacting, and kind. She listens, answers questions thoughtfully, takes your needs to heart, and applies her 16 years of experience to guide you through the process. Never once did we feel pressured or misled into doing something we weren't interested in, or agreeing to something we didn't understand. Honestly, buying our house was so easy! Michelle told us exactly what to expect, and by when, and that's pretty much how it all worked out. Of course, there are many things beyond the realtors control, like your lending process, but even in that, she is involved as much as she can be, and to help explain things you don't understand.When searching for a realtor in Fort Bragg, many of them had "5-10 Recent Sales", while Michelle has "45 Recent Sales". Michelle Deering is, without a doubt, the best real estate agent on the Mendocino Coast. We relied on her knowledge of the local market to find and close on the place of our dreams in an extremely competitive bidding climate. Simply put, without Michelle, we believe the home we bought would've gone to another bidder. Too bad for them that we got to Michelle first! After our bid was accepted, Michelle stayed in constant, near-daily contact, to ensure all facets of escrow went smoothly, which prevented any problems from arising. We have bought and sold over ten properties all over Northern California and I've never encountered a realtor as responsive, knowledgeable, warm and professional as Michelle. If only they were all like her. I would never dream of using anyone else on the Mendo Coast than Michelle. Hands down!

In thinking about selling our house, I contacted several agents. I selected Michelle Deering because she responded immediately to our inquiry, answered all my preliminary questions and without any commitments within 24 hours examined our property, gave us a balanced assessment of the market and a realistic selling price range. She also advised on any priority changes that would make the property more sellable. In a fast-moving market she set a selling price, that resulted in multiple offers, two bidding rounds, and two equally high offers. Pest inspection and minor repairs were arranged promptly by this agent. The original selected buyer withdrew, and Ms. Deering had carefully set the second buyer as a backup. The escrow was completed in just over a month. Throughout the process she kept me informed, often several times a week and handled the paperwork by computer and mail with helpful efficiency. Ms. Deering made a complicated process understandable with results better than we expected.
