My brother and I engaged Melissa Jennings to sell our father's house on March 2. The house was sold on March 20, only 18 days later, after a wild series of events. Melissa's expertise suggested a lower asking price. She said that rather than starting with a high asking price, getting no offers and having to reduce the price, it was better to start low and negotiate up with competing offers. We went with her advice. A good thing, too, because she got 8 offers, and was able to negotiate the two highest offers to more than 10% over the asking price. We closed with the top bidder two days after the house went on the market. Melissa's negotiating skills are amazing!Our top bidder wanted to close ASAP and waived the option period, etc. which was wonderful. However, the top bidder was dilatory on signing/sending documents and in sending the earnest money. Melissa kept her cool through all this and kept our second offer aware, so that no matter what happened, the house would be sold. Melissa has an excellent sense for timing, and can remain patient and calm under very trying circumstances.The first buyer proved to be fraudulent, and that deal fell through. Somehow Melissa discovered a totally new buyer who looked at the house on Wednesday and closed two days later, on Friday! So, really, the house was sold 2 times, each time closing within 2 days of being available. Melissa is extremely resourceful!All in all, my brother and I had a very positive experience with Melissa Jennings, and under exceptionally difficult circumstances. She responded quickly to all our questions and maintained a pleasant, professional demeanor throughout. I highly recommend her to anyone wishing to sell a house in Dallas.

I had the pleasure of meeting Melissa at my gym! After getting to know her and talking about real estate I decided to use her after not being pleased with my previous agent!! Just talking to her and listening to her knowledge about the local market and some of the things she was able to do I was excited to use her! Good thing I did! After deciding to get out of my condo and back into a home she was able to find me a home before it hit the broader market! Which was great because at the time the inventory wasn't great and anything that I was interested in was gone in a flash! She was also great at finding me a loan officer who could get me approved and closed quickly! She did an amazing job negotiating the deal and I couldn't of been more pleased! If you want someone to go the extra mile don't hesitate in giving her the chance to help you find your next home! You won't be disappointed!! Ive bought and sold many homes over the years around the country and she is the best agent Ive ever had!
