I had the misfortune of starting my house hunt with a realtor who was NOT Devon Marie Ferdinand. Nothing helps you appreciate how a good real estate professional should work like having a bad one. I won't harp on the lousy realtor, but here are some reasons Devon is a cut above the rest: 1. She's a knowledgeable advisor - she didn't leave me to put offers on homes based on what I was *feeling*. She quickly did her work to price comps and provided me with valuable information that I could use to make informed decisions as a first-time home buyer. She's very experienced and could easily help me navigate tricky situations (e.g., deciding whether or not I wanted to agree to cover an appraisal shortfall or find another home). 2. She's responsive - House hunting can be time-sensitive, and Devon works fast. I never had to wait days for her to provide me with the information I needed to make my decision. She often told me what I needed to know beforehand and guided me through the process at every step. 3. She has excellent customer service - Devon actually cares about her clients. She showed up ready to address my concerns, assuage my fears, and stuck with me even after we closed on my house while I had to deal with tenants moving out. She doesn't just cut and run after she gets paid. I could go on, but it all boils down to Devon being the right realtor to guide home-buyers and homeowners.
