I met Karen Baldwin and Cynthia Gajewski by chance. Originally, I was looking to rent an apartment in Oak Park. After a long search and not finding anything, I took a peak at buying. The first place I looked at was through Zillow and I just so happen to click on the Beyond Realty Team. In just 60 days, I am now a happy and proud owner of an Oak Park condo! Working with Karen (and Cynthia) was so fun and enjoyable! I absolutely recommend working with this team! Karen is incredibly patience, will answer all your questions (or get the answers if she doesn't have them), knowledgeable, realistic and experienced.I had a general idea of what I was looking for which I shared with her. On a daily basis, I would receive emails with homes that fit my criteria. I'd flag the places I was interested and we'd schedule a time either that day or the next to go see. We saw probably 10-12 different places. During the tours, Karen was knowledgeable about the properties and never made me feel rushed while in pursuit. After I found the ONE, we went back 3 different times for various reasons. She was happy to come each time!I was a first time home buyer. Karen was happy to explain, re-explain and support me through the entire search and buying process. Her handouts were also very helpful to stay on track. I never felt alone or that I didn't have someone to reach out. She supported me beginning to end. Karen has lived in Oak Park for several years. I am fairly familiar with this area, but Karen shared information about the town, history, places to visit, things to do, places to eat, and discussed pro's and con's for location vs. location.Karen has a great deal of knowledge about the buying market / history / taxes in the town. During negotiations, she supported my decisions but at the same realistic and gave me good feedback.Thank you, Karen for being a rockstar!!
