Two years ago, I bought a new house. I'd saved 30 years for this house and it was and still is--a joy. But selling my old house was going to be a challenge. I had not updated it at all, and it was in rough shape. So I tried to sell it for two years. I did call a realtor at some point, but after looking at it, it was clear she wasn't happy with the property. So I never followed up with her. Finally after two years of sitting, my brother said "I'm calling a realtor", and we were fortunate enough to be introduced to Kristen Thompson of The Thomas Group. She was perfect! She produced a booklet detailing what other homes in the area were selling for or had gone for to help me decide on a fair price. She explained how she was going to put my house out there online.
