We worked with Misty s team & never once had contact with Misty herself. We had two agents, one listing and one helping us buy . Essentially they collected 3 separate commissions off our sale & purchase. As far as local knowledge, they seemed to know what was on the market. With process expertise, the office gals knew mostly what was going on, but the agents would often get the details confused. I as the customer had to fact-check with the office and sometimes even with our banker because terminology, dates/times, even actual numbers and names were often incorrect. The agents would respond to us if it was meaningful to them - if they were trying to get signatures or money from us - but if we had questions, it could take days before they responded, if at all. For negotiation skills, there were essentially none on our behalf. We were told we either needed to pay full price for the house we wanted or we wouldn t be able to buy it at all. We ended up paying absolute top dollar for our new house & were never told we could negotiate things like closing costs, inclusions, or anything after inspection. And I can t even go into all the details regarding the sale of our old house. When the inspection suggested a hint of mold, we were told we had to let the BUYERS FRIEND come look at it. He wrote a report saying it would cost $18,000 to fix, which we looked into, and other mold specialists said that could vary day-to-day as to what kinds of mold may be present. Then we were told by the listing agent that he found money for us to be able to basically buy off the buyers. He explained to us numerous times that it was our fault we had a lemon of a house, not his, and that if we didn t give the buyers this found money, we would never sell our house. The funny thing is, this was also the listing agent for our new house which cost us twice as much as what we sold for (and gave him twice the commission). Seems extremely suspicious. In the end, the found money never existed. We had $9,000 in our checking account which we had to pay in the form of a check at closing. The listing agent never mentioned his wheeling-and-dealing to our banker, who told us that if we hadn t foreseen what would happen & saved that money, we potentially could ve lost the sale at the last minute because of having to rewrite our loan. No apology was ever given. No acknowledgement that the listing agent lied to us and the banker about us having to pay so much. No one has reached out to us regarding this situation. In the end, we re glad to have our new home. However, if EVER you go to sells yours, keep this in mind: the Misty Soldwisch team will get it sold no matter the cost to YOU. If you want it gone, go ahead and use them. But if you expect someone to work on your behalf rather than their own, it would be better to find a team that has integrity.
