Let's be honest: most people know multiple Realtors, and unfortunately for the good ones, most Realtors have too many clients, too little time, too little knowledge and no interest in helping their clients with their primary objectives of finding the right home at the right price. I've owned multiple properties in multiple states, and as someone in an industry based solely on servicing clients, I admit that I tend to be highly critical, and occasionally even difficult. With that said, when someone does their job well, it's imperative that we as consumers do everything we can to support them.I'm genuinely impressed with Matt and will continue to refer my clients, friends and family to him. My wife and I were moving back to St. Louis after a 7 year stint in Denver and Chicago and needed to find a place quickly. Having grown up in St. Louis, we knew the area and thought all we needed from a Realtor was someone to get us in to as many houses as we could see in the few visits we made to St. Louis. It turns out we needed a lot more than that and Matt provided it all. When prompted for his opinion, he would give an educated evaluation of the property and the community, and seemed to have an uncanny ability to know what would and would not work for my family. When Matt told us he was working with many other clients that week, I was literally surprised, as I erroneously thought we were his only clients! Yes, really. Again, i've worked with many Realtors on many deals and the sad truth is that until now, I haven't found anyone who I would feel comfortable writing a review for or even using again. In short, I would encourage you to just give him a call and see if he's a good fit for what you're trying to do. If it has something to do with real estate, my guess is it will be!

My wife and I were moving from Boston to St. Louis, and had never been to St. Louis before. We had 4 days to find a house to buy, and after having several realtors recommended to us and interviewing them on the phone, we decided to go with Matt. His overall demeanor is "chill", which was nice to take the edge off of our first homebuying experience.We sent him a list of several properties that we found online, and he was quite happy to show them to us, in addition to some others that were similar to our stated desires. Basic transportation to houses is easy, but where Matt really showed his worth was in explaining neighborhoods to us, giving us realistic expectations of what we could expect for each neighborhood and what we can get for our budget, and showing us the ropes of a new city.We were also pleased that he was very willing to show us homes in areas that we asked to see, not just in areas that he thought we should see. This ended up being extremely useful to give us perspective on the house we eventually chose.When it came time to purchase the home, Matt was very helpful in explaining Missouri real estate rules and documents, and was very willing to work with us on purchasing the house remotely (we were in Boston at the time). He was our man on the spot for negotiations with the seller, walked through the house with the home inspector when we were not able to make it, let in inspectors, and kept an eye on the home for us until we arrived in St. Louis. To sum up, Matt is a very chill real estate agent that really did work with us to find what would make us happy. He made a first home-buying experience as stress free as it could be, introduced us to a new city, and was willing to do whatever needed to be done to expedite the closing, even when we couldnt be there. I will be recommending Matt to my friends, and using him to help sell our house when the time comes as well.
