Diskin went above and beyond our expectations in helping sell our home. We had never sold a home before, so had a pretty high learning curve and lots of nervous questions that Diskin was incredibly helpful in addressing. He did a very thorough job researching comparables for our unique property, and helped us price it appropriately. He was patient and supportive with us while we moved into our new home, and took much longer than expected to get this property ready to sell. He also helped us with hours of work getting the property ready when we hit crunch times. He got us three offers within 24 hours of listing our place in November, and helped us get what we feel was a great price for our property. He worked tirelessly and communicated clearly and promptly. I cannot explain how happy I am with my first home buying experience! Diskin and the Bellwether Real Estate Group came highly recommended from various friends of mine and I could not have asked for a better team to work with! There are many reasons to sell a home; ours was that after almost 50 years in her Port Orchard home our mom could no longer live there due to health concerns. We asked Diskin to help us, emptied the house, moved Mom, and despite being cautioned by Diskin about market conditions, we looked forward to a quick sale. We quickly learned that Diskin's advice would be our guiding light through a process that did involve "quick" sales. Yes, like March madness, it took us all the way through the "Final Four" till the home finally closed. In relative terms it was a fairly fast journey with the first accepted offer within a week on the market in August and the fourth and final accepted offer coming in November, and closing on December 7th. In specific terms Diskin had to lead us through a rapidly declining market, while marketing a house that had aged 50 years and was not allowed any makeup for her final showing. In this process he negotiated with prospective buyers/agents any and all perceived faults while maintaining the initial pricing dignity for the old home, subject to appraisal. He led us from one dropped deal, (for one reason or another), to the next with amazing grace and optimism, always with the goal in mind, to retain as much market value for Mom that he could. He collected rent for extensions, dealt with leaks, septic tank and electrical issues, inspections, and all the normal issues that pertain to selling a older home; all the time with a smile and the goal of transparency and completion foremost. Diskin would, time and again, market this home to best advantage, such as it was; from Bellingham, with the drive and ferry to Port Orchard being as casual a requirement as a ordinary "open house". At each offer, or need to apprise, he would come to Mom, and explain her available options, answer her every question and try to protect her every interest. Due to the declining nature of Mom's health, Diskin was instrumental in advising that a trust be established so that a closing would not be affected and the financial processes would be protected.
