We returned to Baldwin County after being away for a year. We had leased in the past and this time around we were ready to buy. My Husbands employer recommended Amanda Madden. I spoke to Amanda over the phone and shared with her the type of home we were looking for and what neighborhood I was interested in looking at. Amanda immediately sent me over a listing of homes in the area that were available. A few days later we met and looked at 7 houses. Upon completion of my list Amanda showed me two neighborhoods in the area that I had not considered. Actually I didnt know that these neighborhoods existed. They were newer construction with big lots available. But, we wanted something that was move in ready and didnt want to wait for a house to be built. Out of the 7 homes we chose there was one home that we thought would fit us perfect. Because this was an older home Amanda was concerned about the structure of the home. The roof was original from 20 years ago. She checked comps in the area and we were able to make a reasonable offer on the home. Our offer was rejected two days later. It appears that the offer was too low and the homeowner and realtor didnt want to negotiate any further. We were disappointed! I found another home in the same neighborhood and Amanda was in touch with one of the homeowners from the newer neighborhood that she had showed me. So, on an early Saturday morning we met and looked at another house in the neighborhood I wanted to live in. We immediately decided that it needed to much work before we could even move in and we were not interested. We then drove 5 minutes away to the home that Amanda had chose and OMG!........Open floor plan, beautiful kitchen, many, many upgrades throughout the entire home from inside to outside. This was a new home that was only two years old and just gorgeous. We made an offer that afternoon for the full asking price and moved in two weeks later. Amanda was so wonderful and patient with me and knew exactly what I was looking for and she found it. Amanda was so responsive to all my questions and request. Every time I called Amanda it was like calling a friend. She either answered right away or called me back immediately. I really bonded with her and felt like I was shopping for a new home with a Friend. Thank you so much Amanda.
