Dear Ryan Thank you for all you've done for us. You have been professional and competent but more than that you have been fun to work with. This was a thrilling and delightful and somewhat terrifying experience for me. Throughout it all, you were a steadying, knowledgeable and compassionate presence. I had a wonderful time visiting the island with you and particularly exploring around the property and soaking up all your insights and information about the land, the trees, the ridges and rocks. You have done way more than any agent would, filling in as adventure planner, tour guide and naturalist. I'm sorry it didn't work out for us. Jesse calculated the real costs, unreasonable for us, and had to decide against it. I didn't do that work but just visiting the land, I was intimidated by the huge collection of deadfall and the lifeless condition of the beach--none of the seashore creatures I had been used to on Cliff Island, not even a snail. Still, it was tough to let go of the dream and IAH is a beautiful, magical place. I'm sorry you spent so much uncompensated time on the venture. Perhaps there were other benefits for you.
