We listed our home with Mike LaFido and his team in 2011. Mike talks a big talk and has come to believe his own press. This unfortunately has put his head in the clouds somewhere because he is now too important to even speak with his clients once he has listed them. When you call his cell phone he suggests you text him for a faster response. It should say for any response since he rarely if ever returns phone calls. Mike did a great job at marketing our property. He dropped the ball big time when someone was interested after a showing. At one point we had two buyers who claimed high interest but weren't making an offer. To see how serious they were we offered them our property at a very competitive price. One of the two was serious and came through for another look. Afterward their completed survey said the property mostly met their needs, it was in excellent condition and they were more interested in our property than others. Their last comment was " Clients are thinking about next steps. Very nice home, which they like a lot. Not sure about value, given sales data in Bartlett." Meaning they weren't sure how much to offer given the lack of sales in this category over the pasts 24 months. What did Mike LaFido do? He sent his office girl to try to help the client. She called to ask me if I remembered the property that had sold in our area that was close to our price. Anyone knows you can go to any real estate MLS site and run a sold report to get that information. Mike never got involved. Needless to say this never went any further. Just like others in the past that had high interest but were never followed up on. Unless you're selling way below market value, Mike LaFido and his weak team are not the ones to go with.
