My wife and I used Shawn to purchase our 1st house 10 years ago. He must have shown us at least 30 houses without one word of complaint. Not even when we backed out of one of the deals he made for us. We have leveraged him a few times since then, and he has always been quick to help. He has a great knowledge of Washington realestate. He has pointed out potential deal breaking flaws in homes that others may have easily missed until paying for an inspection. Nobody is perfect including him. There was one deal he worked with us on that went sour. While it was probably 98.6% the other agents fault, Shawn took full responsibility for his 1.4%, and didnt pass blame to anybody else. I would never have known exactly how sleazy the other agent was if I never happened to speak with the homes eventual buyer. She provided a few surprising details. We have recently started looking again and are putting him through the same tourcher as the first time. The tourcher is actually probably worse this time, but he has not complained once. He has been extremely flexible and shown great understanding. He is willing to kindly tell you the truth, even if he knows it is not what you want to hear. He has supported every decision we have made, despite knowing full well how much of a crazy waste of his time they were. Im not a real estate sales expert, but I would expect almost any agent in the industry to have access to simular tools as another. Therefore, in my opinion, choosing an agent comes down to a personal fit in trust. I trust 253 well enough to not only work with them, but publicly recommend them.
