I worked 20 years in the electric utility industry. Over the years, my wife and I have built, bought and sold multiple homes. We have also done some work with home renovations. To fully prepare myself, I completed my home inspection certification through ICA (Inspection Certification Associates). After receiving certification from ICA, I went on to receive further education and received my residential and commercial certifications through InterNACHI (International Association of Certified Home Inspectors). InterNACHI® inspectors are trained and certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the world’s largest association of residential and commercial property inspectors. Certification requires completion of many hours of coursework, training, reporting, and examination for certification. This association requires inspectors to stay up to date with the industry’s most rigorous Continuing Education, which has been awarded more than 1,400 approvals and accreditations by governmental and other agencies.
