I am a local licensed direct mortgage lender in Maryland. I help clients with their new home purchase as well as refinancing their existing homes. Agents know I am a person who is thorough with follow up. I am very hands on and don't like to pass my clients off to an assistant or processor. It may add more work for me but I want to make sure I am their client thorough out the entire process. I would say aside from my follow up/thoroughness and hand-holding with clients, my other strength is staying current on products,guidelines and lending capabilities. Our industry is ever-changing and I maybe ask our underwriters too many questions or call FannieMae too much for clarification...but if it means getting the deal done - I am quick to pick up the phone and speak with the right person.
