In 2010, I established the company, On Target Home Inspections LLC, and started providing professional home inspection services throughout the State of Rhode Island. Although I had decades of prior building experience, and it was not a requirement to get training to become a home inspector in Rhode Island at that time, I chose to get formally trained in home inspection services by the American Home Inspector Training Institute (AHIT). I felt that the additional time and expense was vital in ensuring that I would be able to provide the highest quality residential and small commercial inspections for my future clients. To my surprise, after 10 successful years performing professional building inspections, I was approached by AHIT to become a Technical Trainer for future home inspectors!
