FastExpert Donates over 500 Books to Children’s Book Project
The holiday season is a time for giving and a time for wrapping up in a warm blanket and reading a good book. At FastExpert, we know that reading is vital for people of all ages. So, when we thought about the impact we wanted to make this Holiday season, giving the gift of books was easy.
Many of us remember being young and having a favorite book that we read over and over again. It feels shocking that many children don’t have access to their own books, especially ones written in their language.
This desire to help kids access reading fueled FastExpert to donate $5,000 worth of books to the Children’s Book Project in San Francisco, California.
Giving the Gift of Education
In the spirit of the holidays, FastExpert’s team recognized an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by supporting the Children’s Book Project, an organization that works tirelessly to provide books to children who otherwise might not have access to them. This non-profit focuses on increasing literacy among underserved communities by distributing books to children from low-income families, schools, libraries, and community centers throughout the Bay Area.
Books have the incredible power to inspire, educate, and ignite the imagination, and FastExpert’s donation aims to provide children with the tools they need to succeed academically and socially. With these donated books, the organization can continue reaching hundreds of children, fostering a love of reading that will benefit them for years.
Why Books Matter
The importance of access to books is huge. Research consistently shows that early exposure to books is one of the most significant factors influencing a child’s academic success. Children with books in their homes are likely to perform better in school, develop strong language skills, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
Unfortunately, not every child has equal access to books, especially in underserved areas. For many children in low-income neighborhoods, the school library may be their only source of books, but that can be limited, outdated, or inaccessible. By providing free books, the Children’s Book Project ensures that all children, regardless of their background or circumstances, have the opportunity to grow, learn, and explore new worlds through reading.
FastExpert’s Commitment to Giving Back
FastExpert, a platform dedicated to helping people find the best real estate agents, understands the importance of community and the impact of supporting those in need. This donation is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back, especially during the holiday season, when the need for kindness and generosity is even more apparent.
“FastExpert has always believed in the power of community,” said Steph Matarazzo, a representative from FastExpert. “We wanted to find a way to give back during this special time of year, and supporting the Children’s Book Project was a perfect fit. We believe that books can change lives, and we are proud to contribute to an organization that makes such a powerful difference in the community.”
A Bright Future for Bay Area Kids
Thanks to FastExpert’s thoughtful donation, the Children’s Book Project will be able to distribute books to even more children in need, creating lasting impacts on their educational journeys. The organization has already helped thousands of children access books, but donations like FastExpert’s allow them to extend their reach and continue their essential work.
With 2025 just around the corner, we hope this donation inspires others in the community to think about how they can make a difference as well.
