Meeting and working with Zen was 5 stars. He has a well thought-out, thorough, organized process and business. We were referred to him by someone we knew and enjoyed meeting with Zen at the beginning of our home search.This review is for his employee (Scott Woodburn) who we worked with to buy a home.PROS:Understood the market, understood what we were looking for, knew other realtors so had already built a rapport with some of them, understood how to negotiate due to past experience, was responsive, generally proficient at the "mechanics" and "process" of the home search and buying process.CONS:There were some odd personality issues... see below.He is sexist or has a negative bias against women. He mentioned that I'm spending my husband's money (my husband replied that it's our money). He told me he didn't think I could handle the stress of being a general contractor for our remodel. His interactions with my husband were fine, but not with me (a female).He also lied to us. Throughout the process, he told us he had lists of contractors we could potentially work with to remodel an old kitchen or bathroom, he told us he'd share his contacts with us. But when the time came, he was strangely silent, and said his contacts were busy. This was odd because my husband and I are respectful, easy, nondemanding, nondifficult people. He finally shared the info with us after my husband confronted him about this odd behavior. This left a bitter taste with us and we never used the contacts.Overall, if we were to buy again or sell, we'd work with Zen's team but ask for another agent. The star ratings above don't capture respectfulness, and authentic and fair interactions.
