1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
If you are financing, have your preapproval completed prior to shopping for your home. If you are paying cash for a property, have your source of funds documented.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Price to the current market... Find a broker who will be honest about price. Over pricing wastes time and could be harmful to your end result.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
Since 1990 I have worked with home buyers, sellers, investors, and asset managers in up markets, down markets, and stable markets in three different cycles of the economy... That has lead me to have the necessary experience to properly answer the question often asked, "How is the real estate market?" My response is, "It depends, are you interested in buying, selling, investing, or renting?" When you are entering the real estate market, your perspective matters and so does your choice of your real estate professional and their team.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
My sellers needed to sell after their family estate was settled, and the family home was remodeled. My buyers needed to move quickly when their nearby rental was to be sold and their landlord did not honor their previously agreed upon price. We had to move quickly, and we all worked together to move the buyers in as tenants, while the loan process was in progress. The loan was approved, the home had been nicely remodeled, and both buyer and seller were happy with the result.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I was a real estate investor and when I sold my three motorcycle dealerships, I opened my first real estate office in 1990.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have trained hundreds of sales professionals in two different industries. As a real estate broker since 1990, my experience translates to my clients receiving seasoned advice.
