I am a Disabled Navy Veteran, with over 30 years in IT Consulting and Engineering Support experience. While living in Denver, I owned several rental properties, and worked with local Real Estate Agents. While moving to the Branson/Hollister area, I decided to make a career change to Real Estate. My wife and I have three dogs, and live in Hollister along Lake Taneycomo.

1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Be prepared. Talk to a bank and get Pre-Approved. Know your price range, and know what and where you want to purchase. Line up your local team of Lender,s Real Estate Agents, and Title Companies. A good Real Estate Agent can help with everything.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Really understand your goals when selling your home. Work with a trusted Real Estate Agent to find your homes market value, the local market, and how to prepare for the sale.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
I work with Residential and Commercial buyers, and sellers. I also assist investors in vacation rental property assessment and sales.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently assisted an Army Veteran and his family retiring to the area find a lake home. Everything was done remote, so I was able to help him navigate the purchase of a home, find local assistance with lending, and Title services. After the purchase, I was able to assist with local vendors to provide renovations, landscaping, and other home needs. Being a Veteran myself, it felt great to help make the transition smooth, and worry free for him and his family.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
My wife and I moved to the area in 2018, and I was deciding to get out of IT Consulting. I had decades of customer support experience, and had managed rental properties in the past. I met a great group of people at Gerken & Associates that made my career change an easy decision. They helped me get my license, and worked with me every step of the way to train and acclimate me to the Branson community.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
The Missouri Real Estate Board, and Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors has high standards for education in all aspects of Real Estate, but I think my greatest education has come from working with Gerken & Associates. They are a long lived, trusted member of the community, and known for their high standards and training.
