1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
The first thing you'll need to determine is what your long-term goals are and then how home ownership fits in with those plans. It could be that you're simply looking to transform all those "wasted" rent payments into mortgage payments that actually give you something tangible. Others see home ownership as a sign of their independence and enjoy the idea of being their own landlord. Narrowing down your big-picture homeownership goals will point you in the right direction.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Marketing rules. When the National Association of Realtors surveyed home buyers to pick what was most important in their home search process, home buyers said online pictures were more important than price, description, or location. Work with an agent that knows how to properly market your home. Professional pictures, staging (or strategically organizing your current possessions), and a strong online marketing strategy are essential. Telling the home’s story in the description is essential. Price is negotiable. Again, marketing rules.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
Over my 17 years as a licensed Realtor I have worked with people from all walks of life and backgrounds. I have serviced the needs for: First time home buyers, seasoned buyers, residential home sellers, commercial real estate sellers and buyers.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
One of the joys of being a Realtor is the positive effect you can have on people's lives. I had a young couple looking to start a new family and finding a new home to start that new family was at the top of their list. I was successfully able to find a home for them within their budget and needs. About Three months later I received a card saying " you're going to be an uncle" ! *smile*
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I purchased my first home at the age of 23. I fell in love with the process of buying and selling. I love negotiating! Then I worked with a first time buyer and the happiness they shared with owning their first home was contagious and I was hooked. I love to help people reach their goals.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have a background in financing and was a mortgage broker for 8 years. I feel this gives me an unique advantage when assisting my clients through the process of buying, selling, or investing in real estate.
