About Vernon Mason III

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Vernon grew up determined to strive in a military career like his bloodline going back three generations. From the Navy to the Marines, his family have dedicated their time to serve our nation. With his heart set on the United States Army, an unfortunate and almost life threatening event happened that disqualified him from his highly sought after career. He was diagnosed with a rare and dangerous heart virus that forced multiple open heart surgeries. However, that didn't stop Vernon from finding another path to success and serving our communities. Instead of quitting, Vernon went on to earn his bachelors degree, the first in his family. From the University of Arkansas, he double majored in Marketing and Economics. He then moved from state to state for various career management driven opportunities until he set his sights on Virginia Beach. In love with its culture, history, and natural beauty, Vernon made his decision to move in October, 2011 to the Oceanfront and quickly became a true local. After bad experiences with real estate agents, Vernon decided that the community needed his help to improve the buying and selling experience. Vernon also actively participates in community events such as Watch D.O.G.S. for elementary schools, Habitat for Humanity, and various school organizations and was awarded the Presidential Community Service Award by President Barrack Obama in 2016. In his off time, he enjoys renovating distressed properties to rejuvenate communities, training in martial arts, staying active in the gym, playing sports on and off the beach, and enjoying every second with his family. Vernon has developed a very unique skill to address any issue in finance and real estate by creating out of box solutions to meet the needs of every buyer and seller. I lived in Italy when I contacted Madison about looking for a house. We are military and wanted a home for us to move into as soon as we moved back to the states. Madison had gone above and beyond and made myself and my husband comfortable and at ease through the entire process. Even when I'd send her 7 messages in a row freaking out about something (this didn't happen just one time). Madison was very informative and handled everything more than she ever needed to. If it were not for Madison and her team, I don't know if we would have a house ready for us. Madison was patient with myself and my husband, and if I had to do it all over again, I'd choose her to help us buy, or sell, for us.

He helped us both sell our home as well as purchase a new home and we couldn't have been more impressed with his 24/7 availability, professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge of the real estate business.
