I have been an active agent at Keller Williams for over five years. I have served on the Agent Leadership Council as one of 10 agents leading policy and education for our office of 250+ agents (the #1 producing office in Dekalb County). I have won the DeKalb Association of Realtors Pinnacle award for Outstanding Sales five years in a row. For me the key to Real Estate is giving the very best I can to my clients.... in terms of the time, service, attention, or marketing efforts I give to both buyers and sellers. I spend a great deal of time with sellers preparing their homes... I pay for a top level professional stager's consultation to help stage occupied homes. I evaluate the market repeatedly as my clients are preparing their house for sale, so that we can set the sales price to my clients' best advantage at the moment we list. I have been known to go to the hardware store with clients to help pick the best faucet or light fixture to upgrade their bathroom. For ALL my listings, regardless of price point, I use the very best professional real estate photographer available to make my client's house look its very best. With my buyers, I spend time understanding their needs for this home, in terms of community, neighborhood, house layout, condition, price, and features. I watch daily for new listings... and in this seller's market have made sure that my buying clients were the first in the door to see the best new listings. I enjoy working with first time buyers, explaining the whole real estate in detail. I have also worked successfully with several investors.... real estate builds wealth and part of my job is to be a wealth builder for my clients. Before choosing to make the transition to real estate, I was a full time college professor for 8 years in Anthropology (7 years at Emory University). I have a PhD in Cultural Anthropology. Though I loved teaching, I CHOSE to make this major career change and I love real estate even more.... My skills as an anthropologist (researching people's values, communities, and cultures) add greatly to my success as a Realtor. Both anthropology and real estate understand the home, family, and immediate community as central to a person's life.
