Oregon native Tim Rist has always been ahead of his time -- literally. Having begun his construction career at age 12, graduated from college at age 19, and received an exemption from the board of the Oregon Association of Realtors(R) to become the youngest principal broker in the state's history, Tim was never one to sit around and wait for life to come to him. His tireless drive and outlook have influenced his meteoric and continuing success as well as his client mission: to facilitate abundant living, generational wealth, and unforgettable experiences through real estate.
Born and raised in the Willamette Valley, Tim accumulated his first construction experience building a home with his uncle from the ground up. He was still studying communications at Oregon State University when he became an entrepreneur, launching what would turn into a million-dollar painting business and managing 100 employees and over 400 projects. When a job injury intervened in 2013, Tim responded by earning his real estate license and achieving equal if not greater success. He was named Rookie of the Year, doubled his business for three consecutive years, and closed more than 350 transactions in his first four years as an agent -- without ever sacrificing customer service.
Tim specializes in luxury homes and farm properties and has facilitated commercial sales, business-to-business deals, and land developments throughout Oregon. Much of his flexibility stems from a versatile career that includes sales; construction, property, and brokerage management; property developments; flips; subdivisions; business coaching; and life coaching. Tim's drive is magnetic and infectious, attracting and inspiring like-minded talent and even helping turn former minimum-wage employees into six-figure-earning agents.
Tim leads an equally fulfilling personal life with his daughter Maisy and partner Micayla. He enjoys writing and playing music and doing anything outdoors: mountain climbing, hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, surfing, snowboarding, skiing, boating, and flying. Tim is involved in several nonprofit initiatives, including Adult & Teen Challenge, and he serves on the board of the Safe Haven Humane Society. He also runs the Rivendell Collective, a short-term vacation rental and events property in the foothills of the Willamette Valley.

What clients say about this agent....
Cielo was amazing to work with from start to finish, he walked me and my wife through the process when we first met as first time home buyers and all the way to the end at closing and kept us in the loop every step of the way. Hands down the best realtor around!
We recently sold our house with DORE and Jacob E., our agent. We felt like the communication was good, the advertising they put together was professional and well done, and we felt like they did everything that was necessary to get to closing in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely work with DORE and Jacob E. again.
Cielo was great to work with! I will be recommending him to all friends and family. We had given up looking for a home previously because there were not many homes going on the market in our price range. He was patient with us. Our wish list felt impossible at times and it was a long journey. we started out somewhat disheartened, but he kept trying to help us be positive something would come along. It was so worth the wait. After some offers falling through, we found a gem, and I'm actually so glad every previous offer didn't work out. Cielo was kind, patient, funny, and had required work lined up in time for closing, even though there was some confusion from the appraiser on what needed repair for lending.
Jacob went above and beyond to get our home sold. I would have used him to help us buy as well except we were buying in another market, out of state. Great agent that does what it takes and then some.
Jacob is amazing and helped us find our dream home. We had less than 3 months to find our home and Jacob gave us hope that it could be done and we were able to accomplish this amazing mild stone.
My thoughts are so scattered cuz honestly I can't say enough good. Jacob is the best real estate partner you could ask for. He stuck with me for the months of complications that came with buying a farm that needed soil remediation every step of the way. He never dropped me when things looked like they might fall through (and they did many times). He was there whenever I called erratically or panicked. He was always looking out for me in negotiations, house inspections, use suggestions--and he cared about--and actively sought to understand--my dream vision for my home/farm/homestead, just the way I did. This wasn't my first time going through the home purchasing process, and it'd be hard to imagine anyone else, real or fictional, I'd rather go through with it again with. Jacob is respectful, responsible, amicable, and candid. I felt he gave me all the attention I could have needed & definitely intend to purchase another property with him in the future. You can definitely trust him to make your home buying experience as painless as possible. And honestly, I'd trust him with a lot more than that, as it's you don't often come by such a nice, trustworthy quality individual. I'm actually a bit sad we're done home buying cuz it was really fun alongside him. The last specific thing I'd like to mention is he is particularly good at negotiating & mediating things between buyer and seller. 10/10 recommend; A++.
Jacob was able to get our house listed and the next day had two offers above asking. Was able to to get the whole process done in about a month from listing to closing. Would highly recommend Jacob to anyone that is looking to buy or sell a house.
If you want deep local expertise combined with the passion, drive and excitement to get things done, then Tim's your guy. Tim went above and beyond to make the landing in Oregon welcoming and smooth, and we ended up with a great house, a smooth transaction and a great friend in town. Thanks DORE!
Jacob is very professional knows all the answers. Very honest and kind person. He is always there for you. I highly recommend him. He helped me with my first purchase.
