He earned his BFA with honors at Pratt Institute in Printmaking with a minor in Art History and began his real estate career working with a top producing agent with the Corcoran Group. He is a Junior board member with the Cascade AIDS Project and also volunteers with the Portland Lumberjacks and enjoys organizing fundraisers with them. When not working, Thomas can be found shopping for antiques, playing softball, training for powerlifting and Strongman competitions, and attending art openings. He resides in University Park with his partner, Patrik and dogs, Archer and Popo and loves hiking Forest Park, and enjoying Portland's unique coffee venues. He can often be found sipping a cold brew during the week at Cathedral Coffee on N Willamette.

Patrik was a dream to work with. While we were fixing up the house, he seemed to know a business to help us with all of our different needs. We were selling during some uncertain times as the interest rates were rising, and he continually gave us lots of options and the permutations of those options. Thomas Shaprio has been an excellent realtor throughout our buying and selling process. After nearly fifty years of buying homes and rental properties, I can honestly say that he is the only realtor I would recommend. His knowledge of home construction and the current market is excellent. Thomas not only guided us through this complicated time, he could answer our questions regarding specifics to the home (i.e. siding and roof).
