Working with someone at a distance can have its challenges but surprisingly we found those issues mitigated after just one phone call with Tom. He listened carefully to the kind of home we were interested in. We ourselves were not quite sure exactly what we wanted, but Toms experience proved extremely helpful in this regard. After making notes on the absolute aEURoemustsaEUR?, he emailed me with several listings that we could look at online (we were still in Tennessee at the time). The next morning there was another email with different listings but still meeting the same criteria. And the next morning another email, and the next, and the next. Tom was making sure that we had choices.When we found a couple listings that interested us, Tom setup a FaceTime walkthrough with the listing agents. Now, there is no way to really get a true sense of a house without an actual in-person walkthrough, but we found that Tom went straight for the areas that we might be concerned about. He checked the cupboards, the stove, the water setup (the houses were both on cistern water), the floors, etc. Although we couldnt see very much on our iPhone screen, Toms eyes and ears and experience were really what we needed. Now that we have actually moved into one of those homes, I can verify that all the pluses and minuses he pointed out are accurate. Nothing took us by surprise.Another quality that is very important to me is punctuality. I dont want a realtor that I'm always trying to contact in order to find out if there have been any updates. Tom is super punctual. When he gets an update, I get an update. Hell send over a text, a call, a voicemail, an emailaEUR"he finds some way to reach me. When we needed to file an extension for our closing date he had the document ready to go in 10 minutes. Not only that, behind the scenes he is making phones calls and sending emails to move things forward. Now that Tom is a personal friend, I try to remind him to slow down and take some time off. Hes hard to convince. He wants to see his clients succeed. Thomas has this ability to be very kind and calm while still making things happen. Its a rare combination and an absolute delight to work with. I personally do not want a realtor who will bite and chew to get his way for his client. Its not worth it for me or my realtor to lose our integrity to buy or sell a house. If youre looking for someone to play dirty or be pushy and mean to get his way, this is not the man for you. Tom will maintain his integrity and kindness through thick and thin.Thomas also is willing work with listings of any caliber. He will sell a $100,000 home with the same dedication as a million-dollar home. He has experience in all kinds of property and treats each person with dignity. Our home purchase was under $200,000 but I have it upon reliable word that Tom has sold property in the millions. He never made me feel like I was small potatoes. Its wonderful to have a big-league player on your side. During the course of our conversations Tom told me, aEURoeI love my job. I love helping people find a home. It really is my passion.
