1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Get pre-approved for a loan before you start shopping. This will ensure you are ready to pull the trigger (put in an offer) if you visit a home and fall in love with it. If there are multiple buyers, the seller will often skip over buyers offer if they are not pre-approved. I can help you find the best lender for your situation.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Schedule a consultation upfront before you get too far in the process. I have found most sellers believe that a lot of updating and changes are needed in their homes when that is not the case at all. No need to spend money that you aren't going to see a return on. I can provide you valuable information on what needs to happen to get your home sold.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
The world is made up of all types of people and I feel I've worked with most types over the past 18 years. I tend to be straight forward with people, I like to have a mission or goals so I know what we are striving to accomplish, and I like to celebrate people meeting their real estate goals. If you have a real estate goal to meet, I'm your gal. I've worked with first time home buyers all the way up to multi-million dollar buyers and sellers.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
Helped a client with selling her home and buying another home. She left me a 5 star review where she described me as "family". Made feel really special. Here is her review: Working with Teri was like working with family. We were selling our home and buying another one at the same time. She made us feel at ease every step of the way. She listened to all of our concerns and took every thing we asked into careful consideration. We were able to sell our home before we moved into our new home. 5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I was a corporate trainer and instructor for a large communication company and they offered an early buy-out program which I accepted. My previous job included teaching statistical analysis techniques, training people in problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution. I was ready to do something new. I stayed home for 2 years and played golf. When my golfing career didn't lead to stardom or money, I decided it was time to pursue a career I had longed to have for years. Took to real estate and never looked back. I love it.
