Real Estate Broker I first started down the real estate path over 30 years ago, first as a tax assessor and then as a real estate appraiser. The work taught me a lot about how to put a value on property - whether it's a modest bungalow, executive estate, investment property, or parcel of land - but I felt limited. I wanted more personal interaction with people, not just numbers. Moving into real estate sales was the perfect solution: I've had the pleasure of working with people from every culture, walk of life, and socio-economic status. People are fascinating, and every one of them has an interesting story that shapes their real estate decisions, whether selling a home or buying an investment. Over the years, I've trained myself to actively listen for those stories. They're the key to forming a solid agent/client relationship and bringing the right person to the right property. I get great satisfaction both in helping first-time buyers navigate the complexities of their initial purchase, and in assisting experienced investors find the right deal. I want my clients to share that satisfaction, to know that the property and the price are the best match for them. I also want to give them the smoothest experience that I can. Real estate transactions have many ins and outs: financial, legal, structural, and interpersonal. I've dealt with them all, and in the process learned how to stay steady and calm. I'm there to reassure and console my clients as we work through any uncertain and "scary" complications. I make it a goal to guide buyers and sellers through a hassle-free process, and am happy to go beyond the normal scope of realtor duties to make it happen. I want my clients to be satisfied, not stressed. I have been a resident of the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire for 35 years and have working relationships with a vast number of professionals who can assist with all aspects of your relocation. I love to introduce new people to this broad community that I love so much. I delight in its natural beauty. I participate in its preservation and savor the superb cultural events at Dartmouth and surrounding venues.
